Like sands through the hourglass.

It's been awhile since I've updated. I've been fairly busy with buying a house. Hopefully at the end of this week I will be a home owner! Then the work will begin. You see, the seller has been dragging her feet and waited to the last minute to get everything done...but it was to late. So we keep on having to push back close. I think we're done pushing back close now...Friday it is!

So, not much has been going on. Iran has a nuclear facility, a terrorist cell was found in the United States.

One thing has kinda floored me today. How about in Middleville Michigan a woman got a letter from the state Department of Health Services asking her to stop running her illegal day care or face jail time and fines. My first impression was "ha, she got caught, good for her thats funny." As the story develops, though, I was just floored. Apparently her neighbors was leaving their kids with her in the morning to catch the bus, while the parents went to work. Seems fairly harmless to me. So this woman, Lisa Snyder, decided to call the Department of Health to clear up everything. Department of Health asks her "Do the children go into your house?" Her response? "If it's raining i don't want them to sit outside and get soaked" The States response? "Have their parents buy them an umbrella." Is that a catch 22? So you buy your kid an umbrella, you leave the alone to go outside in the pouring rain so you can go to work. You go to work, Bus comes by 10 minutes later. Isn't that considered Child Neglect? OH! I get it, you want us to show up late for our job to tend to our kids. So by showing up late, we get fired. You get no tax money?...

Bureaucracy! This is exactly what I hate about Bureaucracy. No one can come examine the situation and say "well, this is acceptable" or "No, that's really not acceptable" It's "I don't care if it is or isn't acceptable, it falls under this guideline...even though it is not specifically listed, it is considered this...so stop!" Do they need to get a babysitter certification to have kids come over and play? This is the silliest cast of 'slow government' day i've ever seen. I can't believe that there aren't bigger fish to fry in the state of Michigan.

Through the fires and flames...

Yesterday I was watching Fox News and happened to hear Barack Obama talk about the 'Insurance reform' plan and also about economics. How the insurance reform will not turn into a 'government waiting list.'

That statement, alone, makes me wonder. How? How will this not turn into a government waiting list? It's been shown, look at canada and england, that government ran health care systems does turn into a waiting list. They tried, they failed. People are waiting to get surgeries. Some people, in canada, have to wait to get an x-ray because they broke their arm. How is this going to be any different then what they have?

I turned on the TV last night, Bill Maher was on HBO. I don't like that liberal jerk, but it was the channel the tv was on when I turned it on. Simply, he was saying how he's Talked to George W. Bush and he said "well, the guy doesn't believe the same things as i do, and he doesn't read the same things i do. But when i talk to Barack Obama, he's smarter than me, he knows more than me." Why do we criticize him so bad when he's not in office? This is not a good child bad child routine, it doesn't need to be treated that way. And the sad part is, People are looking up to this joke of a president as he is the good child. The shame is, everything thinks we need a savior. This man is coming into save our country from the said horrible horrible horrible things George W. Bush has done. The Blind is leading the blind. We are so quick to point fingers, It's so easy to place blame but blame can never be placed on yourself. People look at Bush and say "YOU! YOU DESTROYED US!" But the reality we need to look beyond where it crumbled, and see why it crumbled. Clinton? Carter? The blocks have been put up to crumble. And liberal out there pointed the finger at who it crumbled on, not who caused it to crumble.

I'm really getting tired of these slow news days. I'm still hearing about that girl at yale that was killed. I'm still hearing about Michael Jackson. I hold a little remorse for the family of the girl at Yale. It was a horrible thing that happened. Enough with it though. I don't want 15 minute investigative interviews on this girl EVERY SINGLE DAY. We can't find anything better to talk about...like the Millions that attended the TEA party in D.C.? We can't talk about that, can we? No, we have to talk about a dead pop start that no one cares about any more. How do i know no one cares about him anymore? Because i don't care about him anymore and i hold majority vote. Have a problem with that? To bad, I hold majority votes on problems as well. Patrick Swayze died yesterday...and this morning all i heard was "he died, he did this this and this and while he was sick he was doing this" Well screw you. Why doesn't he get the same publicity as Michael Jackson? There has to be something interesting everyday that we don't have to drag on these boring, dead , stories. Reminds me of Jon Bennet Ramsey. I just didn't care.

Here's to you, slow news days.

As the time rolls on...

I can remember being a kid thinking that september-may was the longest time ever. Then from June - August it was amazing but seemed to go by so quickly. I was thinking about this on my way to work about how the corn is dying, the school buses are going and how it's september. This year has just...flown by. It seemed like yesterday that I was saying my vows, and it seemed like the day before that we were celebrating the New Year and still planning the wedding. Where has the time gone?

So my thought went even further What did I accomplish this year? If you ask my wife, she'll say "Nothing, you sat around and watched television." Fairly True, yes. I got married, thats an accomplishment. I'm buying a house! thats going to be a fairly big accomplishment. I became a member to a gym! That got me? About two months of eating tons better and working out everyday. Where has it got me now? Eh, another card to add to my wallet.

Which brings me to one of my subjects of the day. Money. I sit back and i think to myself, man i've made a lot of money over the past years...What do i have to show for it? Nothing. Where did my money go, what did my money do? I don't know, it's missing. I have a lot of money that has gone MIA. But these last couple years is the time that i've really had accountable money.

It's other people that scare me. That have 3 mortgages, 5 different car loans, and only make $70,000 a year. Why? How can you afford this? Well, they really can't. They are up to their ears in debt, and they take out loan after loan to try and salvage their crumbling credit report. Foreclosing on a house because little Timmyneeded a pair of $300 tennis shoes because 'they're the thing.' Today, during our financial crisis, a lot of people are watching their money a lot more closely. But there is still a lot of people that insist on having the world, and don't think about the money. I blame them for our current economic crisis, and even more so, I blame the lenders that decided it was a good idea. And further more, I blame the government, but that isn't the pivot point of my topic. And really I could go on and on and on and on about our economic situation and how the world is filled up with stupid people that caused it.

Lets change the subject. Lets talk about weight! I know, everyone wants to be as ripped and have amazing chipped away abs like me, but lets face it, no one can be as good as me. If you're asking where these amazing ripped muscles are and my chipped away abs are, look under my fat and it'll be there. Has anyone seen the obese statistic? As of 2004 70% of the US is overweight or Obese. I am, officially, a statistic. Thank you CDC! Why is this number so high? It's simple, the thought of quick easy meals (ex. McDonalds) is attractive to everyone. Whether you're busy or not. I know there is lots of times i'd rather have Pizza Hut bring me some pizza then worry about cooking food. It's true, and most of the United States is this way.

When i was in highschool, i was reasonably in shape. I was working out most everyday, I was keeping active. But ever since then, it's been a tumbling downhill roll since. So, effectively, I joined a gym. I tried to keep active, but didn't work out so well. And to help my efforts, I did a google search. "Weight loss Regiments" and found a link that says "How to effectively lose weight" So i clicked, figured i would learn something. The page was mostly blank, said one sentence. "QUIT EATING SO MUCH!" As humerous as this was, it angered me at the same time. Just because a person is fat doesn't mean they eat too much, it generally means that they aren't active enough.

My post today doesn't really have a meaning, doesn't really have points, i guess it is more of a rant then anything. So! Here is to getting fat and not having money!

In The Beginning...

This blogging thing...it seems to have become a craze across the world. I figure i'd give it a try. I'm told i will like it, whether I will or not is a different story. So for everyone that gets attached to my blog, and don't worry it happens to everyone in some form, this is my first Blog this may also be my last blog.

So for those of you who don't know, we're buying a house. YAYYYY. The reality is...it is a big crock of poo. That or I've just encountered a horrible seller and she doesn't really know what she wants to do. It needs a new roof, but is she going to replace the roof? I still don't know a good answer yet...she keeps tugging my chain like I'm a cat on a leash. Eh, like a dog on a leash. Has anyone ever seen a cat on a leash? It's kind of funny watching the cat fight the leash and end up being dragged along the road...a dog actually follows, or leads varying on the dog/owner.

So, two and a half months after the king of pop(or King of Poop)'s death, i'm still hearing about him on the television. Why doesn't the news understand...I DON'T CARE! And the reality is, atleast, half of the United States DOESN'T CARE. I raised my glass in celebration of his death, not in mourning. He was a pedophile, he was a black person that tried to be white, he had horrible music. What part of ANY of those descriptions would I like. He should be shot for, atleast, 2 of those 3 reasons.

So, as of late, I've really gotten into Politics. How can you not? With everything that is going on in the world, you have to observe and become, atleast, a little educated. So, if you can stomach siphoning through the Michael Jackson garbage, i'm sure you've seen politics in action.

Lets touch base on Politics. Government Ran and Reformed healthcare is the big subject of the year. To some people the idea of everyone having health insurance is great. I, personally, don't believe we need it. It's like having car insurance, if you drive without car insurance and you get into an accident You pay for it (in practice it is a different story most of the time). Well, if you get the sick without health insurance, you should have to pay for it. I shouldn't have to pay for your right to go to the doctor, just so you can jack the rate of my premium because you had a 'runny nose.' I just don't believe that everyone should have insurance. If you can't afford, it's your problem. (cold hearted, eh?)

But, there is a thing called Compromise. Now, what few Republicans are in office don't want to see a government run health care system. Rightfully so, has anyone seen Canada? Go try to get a tooth pulled in Canada....let me know how it works out...I'll see you in a year. But, the democrats in office wants to see everyone have health insurance, Really they want a government run plan because they're greedy. They believe the government should run and control it all. But wait, Compromise! Here is what should happen. It should be mandated, on the goverment level, that all employers, which are seperated from the government, should provide insurance for the Employees. Now I know, for a fact, here in this area there is a lot of small business that more than likely can't afford Health Insurance for their employees. So the governement should step in and make the insurance companies open up the groups. So that way a mom and pop store, Schupps we'll say, can hop on to Commodore or Colony's group. That'll allow discounted insurance for schupps so they can afford it, but also give everyone Health Insurance. And the fireworks go off and the choir sings because I Just saved the United States and all it's people from dying! yayyy.

Still, though, Premiums are going to go sky rocket because someone has a runny nose. IT's not a great answer, but it works, it gets the big government idea out of play and makes those sniveling little girls happy.

On that note, Have a good day!
